Anfernee Simons is earning some attention from around the league.

The Portland Trail Blazers point guard was among the nominees for Western Conference Player of the Week.

The honor was ultimately given to Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun, who averaged 24.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game as his team went 3-1.

Other nominees alongside Simons were Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Kyrie Irving and Luka Dončić (Dallas Mavericks), Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings), Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers), Lauri Markkanen (Utah Jazz), Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane (Memphis Grizzlies).

In Sunday’s win against the Brooklyn Nets, Simons had arguably his best game of the season, scoring 38 points and tossing 11 assists as the Blazers snapped their losing streak in overtime.

If Simons continues to play the way he did on Sunday, he’ll receive more nominations in the future, and maybe even a win of his own.
