The Portland Trail Blazers lost two big men under divergent circumstances as they played the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Center Duop Reath was ejected with 90 seconds remaining in the first half for an elbow to the nose of Dallas’ Josh Green. Jabari Walker started the second half in the middle for Portland but left the game just past the 9:00 mark with an injured knee. The Trail Blazers indicated soon after that Walker would not return to the game.

INJURY UPDATE 1/3 @ DAL: Jabari Walker (left knee) will not return to tonight’s game @ DAL.

These turns came after Portland was forced to cobble together a lineup without starting center Deandre Ayton and reserve Moses Brown, both of whom are battling injuries themselves.

Not to be outdone, the Mavericks lost center Dereck Lively II and power forward Grant Williams to injury during the game.

We will update this post as further news becomes available.
