Trail Blazers Name Jim Moran as G League Coach

A former staffer returns home.

The Portland Trail Blazers have named Jim Moran as the head coach of their new G League affiliate. Per Portland’s press release, Moran served as a video coordinator and assistant coach for the Blazers between 2014 and 2021. He also served as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons between 2021 and 2023. He’s also worked with the Main Red Claws of the NBA Development League
