The Portland Trail Blazers have announced that starting forward Jerami Grant has entered concussion protocol. He was injured Saturday night in Portland’s game versus the Utah Jazz. The Blazers announced the news via X/Twitter.
OFFICIAL: The Portland Trail Blazers have announced that forward Jerami Grant has been placed in the NBA’s concussion protocol.
Grant left Saturday night’s game at Utah during the fourth quarter and did not return.
Players in concussion protocol must go through the following steps and guidelines before returning:
- He is without concussion-related symptoms at rest.
- He has been evaluated by a physician.
- He has successfully completed the NBA return-to-participation exertion protocol.
- A team physician has discussed the return-to-participation process and decision with the Director of the NBA concussion program.
Over 19 appearances for the Trail Blazers this season, Grant has averaged 22.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 34.9 minutes per game, shooting 43.7% from the field and a team-leading 41.2% from the three-point arc.
