Backup C

Like many, I'm unimpressed with the FA options for a backup center. I am a huge LMA fan, but I just don't think a reunion feels right. Cousins is a shell of his former self and we need defense which he's always been suspect on that end. In looking to the trade market, I was looking here at a hoopshype list of players by salary and it was tough to find attractive options. Especially when you omit players who signed in FA this summer. No Mcgee, R Lopez, Ibaka, etc.

While I'm not totally sure how trade exceptions work, I've narrowed down a target. How about Dewayne Dedmon? I think Winslow could get it done. Maybe add a 2nd and absorb the surplus into the Cov exception. Again, not completely sure on the financial side, but as a legitimate target he seems like he could fill the backup C role well.

What say you guys?
