Junk Drawer: Summer Movie Preview

It's been awhile since we have had one of these, and since the unofficial start of the movie summer season starts in May, I thought it would be a good time to do my summer movie preview. I'll do what I did with last year's one and include the link to movie insider, if you want to see the whole list, but I'll just highlight some of the movies I'm interested in seeing this summer.

But before I do that there are a couple of movies that came out in April that I'm interested in seeing, but haven't got the chance to yet.

The Northman

The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent

And here are my favorite movies I've seen so far this year:

Moonfall - Just for the absolute ridiculousness of it.

The Batman - Probably my favorite of the recent Batman movies

Fresh - I really enjoyed the two leads and liked the concept of it.

The Adam Project - A fun, sci-fi movie.

Turning Red - Excellent Pixar movie about the coming of age of a girl

X - A great ode to 70s horror movies.

Tony Hawk: Until The Wheels Come Off - I don't know how his body can take that kind of punishment into his 50s.

Everything Everywhere At Once - My favorite movie of the year so far. Just an excellent movie. Michelle Yeoh is great!

And now on to the preview. Here is the link to the website: Movie Insider

Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness - Marvel of course, but I'm also excited to see what Sam Raimi does

Firestarter - Always a sucker for Stephen King movies

MEN - Looks creepy. Plus, I usually like A24 horror movies

Jurassic World Dominion - More dinosaurs!

The Black Phone - Ethan Hawke & Scott Derickson reunited

Elvis - Baz Luhrmann's take on Elvis

Thor: Love & Thunder - More Marvel!

Nope - Jordan Peele's new one

Bullet Train - Looks pretty fun!

Bodies, Bodies, Bodies - A new spin on slasher movies

Beast: No trailer but it stars Idris Elba and Sharlto Copley. Its about a father and his two teenage daughters being hunted by a lion.

That's all I've got for now.
