For the third interview of Media Day 2021, Vulcan Sports President and Portland Trail Blazers CEO Chris McGowan spoke about Trail Blazers owner Jody Allen’s commitment to the franchise.
Despite Allen’s recent inheritance of the franchise after the passing of her brother and long-time owner Paul Allen, McGowan said Jody Allen is committed to owning the franchise for the future.
The team’s not for sale. We operate like that. We’re looking long-term. She’s supportive of that.
McGowan said not only is Allen invested in owning the franchise, she’s invested in seeing them win.
She’s super-competitive and wants to do better on and off court. She’s always involved in major decisions.

On a potential sale: "The team's not for sale. We operate like that. We're looking long-term. She's supportive of that."
McGowan also said there will be more updates in terms of streaming options for the 2021 season. So far, the Blazers television partner ROOT Sports has only given streaming rights for Blazers games to FuboTV.
Distribution is a big thing and you saw the announcement a couple weeks ago with FUBO and there will be more as we get closer to the season.
