The weekend is here and agreements from the past week of NBA free agency are going final. The dust is settling for several rosters around the league, but there are still a handful of noteworthy moves in the headlines.

Here is a look at the latest news and rumors.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Jimmy Butler has reached a four-year, $184 million contract extension with the Heat.

Aron Baynes’ neck injury prevented him from joining Australia for the medal ceremony. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Baynes is suffering from severe nerve damage in his neck. The Raptors waived Baynes earlier in the offseason and his current injury could keep him out of the 2021-22 season.

According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the Hornets waived wing Caleb Martin prior to his contract’s guarantee date on August 15.

Wojnarowski reported that coach James Borrego has reached a multi-year extension with the Hornets.

Charania reported that point guard Jarrett Jack is headed to Phoenix to join Monty Williams’ coaching staff. Last season, Jack played on the G League Ignite squad. Williams and Jack crossed paths during their time with Trail Blazers.
