Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard took to social media to respond to the latest story from TrueHoop’s Henry Abbott. Yesterday, Abbott returned to his previous report that Lillard was on the verge of requesting a trade before Team USA departed for Tokyo.
On Wednesday morning, Lillard responded directly to Abbott’s story on social media with a “face palm” emoji.

Along with a potential trade request, Abbott’s most-recent story suggested that Lillard would pass up game checks and sit out of contests until the Blazers met his demand. That tidbit of information garnered a response from CJ McCollum.

McCollum’s observation triggered a playful refutation of Abbott’s story from Lillard.
