The Pelicans and Grizzlies have agreed to a multi-player trade that ships Jonas Valanciunas to New Orleans for Steven Adams and Eric Bledsoe. Memphis will also add the No. 17 pick to the trade in order to move up to New Orlean’s selection at No. 10 in the 2021 NBA Draft. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski delivered the news on Monday.
BREAKING: Memphis is finalizing a trade to send Jonas Valanciunas and 2021 Nos. 17 and 51 picks to New Orleans for Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, 2021 picks Nos. 10 and 40 and a protected 2022 first-round pick via the Lakers, sources tell ESPN.
Valanciunas is under contract through the 2021-22 season and is set to earn $14 million on the final year of his deal. Adams and Bledsoe are both under contract through the 2022-23 season. Adams is set to earn $17 million next season and $17.9 million in the final year of his contract. Bledsoe’s cap figure clocks in at $18.1 million in 2021-22 and he will bring in $19.3 million for the 2022-23 season.
