Bradley Beal and Jerami Grant have both entered health and safety protocols for Team USA in the past day. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Beal entered yesterday and Grant today. Grant has not tested positive for COVID-19, according to the report.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting that Bradley Beal may be replaced on Team USA.
USA Basketball is working to replace guard Bradley Beal on the team’s Olympic roster ahead of trip to Japan, sources tell ESPN. Beal entered into health and safety protocols.

As Portland Trail Blazers fans are aware, Damian Lillard is also playing with Team USA in Las Vegas.
Team USA are 1-2 in exhibition play so far in their run-up to the 2021 Summer Olympics. They dropped games to Nigeria and Australia before beating Argentina 108-80 on Tuesday. Beal played 30 minutes in that game, scoring 17, both game highs. Grant played 8 minutes and did not score, but registered 3 blocked shots.
Team USA is also missing Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Devin Booker, all participating in the 2021 NBA Finals.
The American men are scheduled to face Australia once again tomorrow, July 16th, and 3:00 PM, Pacific.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst notes that the game vs. Australia may not happen.
