LaMarcus Aldridge’s playing career ended prematurely this season after battling an ongoing issue with an irregular heartbeat.
But the former Portland Trail Blazers All-Star big man might not be done with the NBA. Aldridge suggested that he would be “down to go home” to Portland for a coaching job in response to a series of questions on Twitter.

The Trail Blazers acquired Aldridge on draft night in 2006. He played for the Blazers for nine seasons in total, followed by six seasons for the San Antonio Spurs. He signed with the Nets in the 2020-21 season after reaching a buyout agreement with the Spurs.
Throughout his 15-year career, Aldridge averaged 19.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.1 blocks. He was also named to seven All-Star teams, two All-NBA Second Teams and three All-NBA Third Teams.
