Lillard to Wear No. 6 at Tokyo Olympics

Team USA’s official roster for the Tokyo Olympics is here and Damian Lillard is set to wear the No. 6 during competition.

The 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo are just around the corner, and Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is set to take center stage on Team USA’s basketball squad. Lillard was previously announced as being a part of the 12-man roster for the men’s basketball team and now the remainder of the roster has come into focus.

On Monday, The New York Times NBA Insider Marc Stein shared the final roster on social media:

The All-Star lineup includes Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat, Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets, Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, Jrue Holiday of the Milwaukee Bucks, Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics.

Gregg Popovich is set to serve as head coach. Popovich’s staff includes Steve Kerr, Lloyd Pierce, and Jay Wright.

According to Trail Blazers Digital Reporter Casey Holdahl, Lillard will exchange the Letter O for No. 6 during Olympic competition.

The Olympics are set to begin on July 23.
