Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski is set to retire after the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. According to basketball analyst Jeff Goodman, Krzyzewski plans to step down after the upcoming season.

The leading candidate to replace K is assistant and former Duke player Jon Scheyer.
Krzyzewski guided Duke to a 1097-302 record after taking over the program in the 1980-81 season. During that run, Duke claimed five Tournament Championships. Krzyzewski has also served as Team USA’s basketball coach.
Former Duke guard Jon Scheyer is expected to take over for Krzyzewski after next season. Scheyer started in 108 games over his four-year run at Duke. In 2010, he was part of Duke’s title-winning squad. Scheyer joined Krzyzewski’s coaching staff in 2014.
