Following elimination from the NBA Playoffs by the Brooklyn Nets, the Boston Celtics are shaking things up in their front office. Danny Ainge, their current executive director of basketball operations, is expected to resign according to multiple reports. It is expected that current Head Coach Brad Stevens will replace him in the front office.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Stevens has been fatigued with coaching following the experience in the Orlando bubble, and he was looking for an opportunity to make a change. In his new role, one of his first duties will be to find his replacement.
Could former Portland Trail Blazers forward Evan Turner take on that role? Turner currently serves as an assistant coach for the Celtics. He played for the Celtics for two seasons in 2014-15 and 2015-16 before coming to Portland. During his time with the Blazers, he was widely credited as being a “pro’s pro” and a strong presence in the locker room with excellent vision with the game.
We shall see.
