2021 NBA Playoffs Open Thread: Sixers-Hawks and Jazz-Clippers

Come talk about a pivotal pair of Game 6 showdowns here!

NBA: Atlanta Hawks at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Two 2021 NBA Playoffs series reach the brink of climax tonight as home teams with a 3-2 lead attempt to push forward to the Conference Finals. The Atlanta Hawks will host the Phildadelphia 76ers in Game 6, holding a 3-2 lead. That contest will tip at 4:30 PM, Pacific on ESPN. Afterwards the Los Angeles Clippers will welcome the Utah Jazz to Staples Center and possible elimination. The Clippers also own a 3-2 lead. That game is on ESPN, starting at 7:00, Pacific.

We invite you to hang here to discuss both contests. This year’s playoffs have been so topsy-turvy, and fan reaction has been the same. It seems like any team that loses a game gets lambasted, a prime candidate for the proverbial “blowing it up” off-season. But then that team comes back and their opponents get skewered by analysts and fans.

What do you make of these series so far? Will either one go to seven games? Do you see the Jazz or Sixers coming back to win it all?

Rules are looser in general playoffs threads than in Portland-specific game threads. We ask that you refrain from profanity. Otherwise, feel free to talk about the things you notice in these games or whatever else is on your mind!
