After dropping two straight contests to the Denver Nuggets, the Portland Trail Blazers regained their footing with a Game 4 victory. As the series returns to Denver, star point guard Damian Lillard detailed how the Blazers must approach a crucial Game 5 matchup in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs.
NBC Sports Northwest highlighted Lillard’s comments on Monday. The former Weber State star explained that the Blazers have to let their actions speak louder than their words in Game 5.
“This ain’t a situation where we can be like, ‘alright, lock-in, we’ve got to have this game.’ We said that after Game 1 and we went out there and got blasted. We’ve got to walk the walk on this one. This is a big one… I think everybody is on the same page with that.”
Through four postseason contests, Lillard is averaging 30.8 points per game against the Nuggets.
