The Portland Trail Blazers have put an ugly five-game losing streak behind them with four consecutive victories on their current road trip. On Sunday, it was CJ McCollum’s turn to carry the scoring load in a much-needed victory.
Fresh off his 33-point night against the Celtics, McCollum explained that the Blazers’ mindset has shifted in the right direction as the postseason emerges on the horizon. NBC Sports Northwest’s Jamie Hudson highlighted McCollum’s comments after Sunday’s result.
“There’s a better sense of urgency… After this road trip, we’ll have six-games left. We know what needs to be done.”
McCollum also discussed how the Blazers’ are getting healthy at the right time.
“We’ve got a lot of guys who have played in big games and have played in the playoffs and you want to be playing your best basketball heading there and you want to be as healthy as possible and both of those things are ringing true for us.”
Thanks to their recent four-game winning steak, the Blazers have now moved back out of the NBA’s play-in field.
