The Portland Trail Blazers snatched home-court advantage away from the Denver Nuggets in Game 1, but Game 2’s abysmal performance shifted the momentum in the series as both squads head to Portland.

Following the Blazers’ double-digit loss on Monday, The Oregonian’s Aaron Fentress highlighted comments from coach Terry Stotts. Coach Stotts explained that Portland’s effort did not match Denver’s output in Game 2.

“They played much better and they deserved to win the game,” Portland coach Terry Stotts said. “We can point to a lot of different things but they outplayed us from top to bottom.”

In the loss, the Blazers committed 21 turnovers and allowed the Nuggets to shoot above 50 percent from the field. For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic effortlessly recorded a 38-point night.

The Blazers will attempt to get back on track on Thursday when the Nuggets visit the Moda Center. You can read the full story from Fentress at The Oregonian.
