Teammates Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum presented the honor to their teammate. Anthony is only 72 points away from tying for ninth place with Moses Malone.
Anthony passed Elvin Hayes for the tenth spot on May 3rd in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. After the milestone, Anthony reflected on the fact that he didn’t know whether or not he would be able to join the top 10 after leaving the league for a period of time.
“A couple years ago I ain’t think I was gonna be in this moment right now. I was out the league, for whatever reason, I’m back, I perservered. I stayed strong, stayed true to myself, and now I’m here in the top ten.”
Congratulations to Anthony on the achievement.
