The Trail Blazers will receive a much-needed boost when star guard Damian Lillard returns to action on Wednesday. Following Tuesday’s last-minute loss to the Clippers, Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Chris Haynes revealed that Lillard is planning to return to action against the Nuggets.

Lillard’s last appearance occurred in the Blazers’ 116-115 loss to the Celtics. In that outing, the former Weber State star recorded 28 points in 37 minutes. With Lillard out of the lineup, Portland has amassed a 1-2 record.
On the season, Lillard is averaging 28.7 points and 7.7 assists per game.
