The Portland Trail Blazers dropped their fourth game in five outings on Tuesday, but that didn’t stop Damian Lillard for mentioning the clear improvements that his squad made against the Boston Celtics.

Following the loss, NBC Sports Northwest’s Jamie Hudson highlighted Lillard’s comments tied to the Blazers’ improved effort.

“I think our past few efforts was kind of like – it felt like the energy was just taking out of us at certain parts of the game and we just let them get away from us… And tonight, it was just a game where we played well. Obviously, we could’ve taken better care of the ball, I could’ve taken better care of the ball,” Lillard said.

Individually, Lillard bounced back from a 12-point outing against the Heat to record 28 points against the Celtics. Lillard and the Blazers return to action on Friday with a visit to San Antonio to face the Spurs.
