Veteran forward Joe Johnson is scheduled to participate in a workout with the Milwaukee Bucks later this weeks in hopes of securing a return to the NBA. HoopsHype contributor Michael Scotto delivered the update on Johnson’s status on Tuesday.
Seven-time NBA All-Star Joe Johnson has an upcoming workout with the Milwaukee Bucks later this week, HoopsHype has learned.
Johnson, 39, has appeared in 120 career playoff games and could add a veteran presence to Milwaukee’s locker room who can stretch the floor and create in isolation situations if needed.
Johnson, who was cut from the Detroit Pistons prior to the start of the 2019-20 season, was featured on Team USA’s 14-man roster for FIBA AmeriCup qualifications earlier this year.
Known for his crafty isolation scoring, Johnson has notched 20,405 points over his playing career. Outside of his preseason stint with the Pistons, Johnson last appeared on a regular season roster in the 2017-18 season with the Rockets.
