Nuggets guard Jamal Murray suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in Monday’s loss to the Warriors. The Athletic’s Shams Charania provided an update on Murray’s status on Tuesday.

Murray went to the floor just inside the final minute of yesterday’s game. Prior to Monday’s injury, the 24-year-old guard was averaging a career-best 21.2 points per game. Last season, inside the NBA’s bubble in Orlando, Murray emerged as one of the league’s up-and-coming stars.

The Nuggets currently sit at No. 4 in the Western Conference’s standings with a 34-20 overall record. Denver returns to action on Wednesday with a matchup against the visiting Miami Heat.
