The Clippers are rumored to be closing in on an agreement with free agent center DeMarcus Cousins. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Clippers plan to sign the former Rockets big man after he clears the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski also provided context to the situation. He explained that the Clippers could be pursuing just a 10-day contract with Cousins.

Cousins, who was waived by the Rockets in February, has appeared in 25 games this season (11 starts). In those outings, he averaged 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

Like the Trail Blazers, the Clippers currently have two open roster spots.
