Damian Lillard is a perpetual candidate for the NBA MVP award. That’s been true this season more than any other. Lillard has carried the Portland Trail Blazers to a winning record, in position for a 2021 Western Conference Playoffs seed, despite the Blazers losing CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic, and Zach Collins to injury. He’s averaging 29.8 points, 7.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game despite every defense in the universe gearing up to stop him. What more could you ask?
