Center Andre Drummond is set to join the Lakers on a free-agent deal. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Drummond will land with Los Angeles once he clears waivers from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Once Andre Drummond clears waivers at 5 PM ET, he intends to sign with the Lakers, his agent Jeff Schwartz of @excelbasketball tells ESPN.

Prior to exiting the Cavs lineup in advance of the trade deadline, Drummond was averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. Now with the Lakers, the former Pistons star will bolster coach Frank Vogel’s frontcourt rotation as the team prepares its title defense.
Elsewhere, the Bucks have emerged as frontrunners to land recently-waived guard Austin Rivers. The Athletic’s Shams Charania delivered the news shortly after the Thunder parted ways with Rivers.
