Magic forward Aaron Gordon appears to be actively looking for a way out of Orlando prior to the 2021 NBA Trade Deadline. According to The Athletic’s Jared Weiss and Sam Amick, Gordon approached team officials about the potential for a trade last month.
Aaron Gordon is ready for a relocation, as sources tell The Athletic that he asked Orlando Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman for a trade through his representative in February.
Gordon, who was the No. 4 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, has a lengthy list of potential suitors according to multiple pre-deadline rumors. It is believed that the Trail Blazers are among the teams interested in the former Wildcats star. Last week, reports surfaced that the Magic are looking for a package that includes a young player and a first-round pick in exchange for Gordon.
Through 23 outings this season, Gordon is averaging 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
