Center Festus Ezeli is making his return to the court after the Westchester Knicks acquired him via the G League’s Available Player Pool on Tuesday. The Knicks’ G League affiliate announced the move earlier today.
The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, announced the acquisition of Festus Ezeli from the Available Player Pool Tuesday morning. Ezeli’s signing completes Westchester’s roster following the departure of Tra-Deon Hollins, who left the single site for personal reasons.
Ezeli, who signed a two-year deal with the Blazers in the summer of 2016, has not logged a regular season minute since his time with the Warriors in the 2015-16 campaign.
During his time in Portland, Ezeli underwent left knee surgery that involved a cadaver ligament to complete the operation. That procedure would prevent him from making his Blazers debut. Ezeli was released by the Blazers in the summer of 2017.
During his three-year stint with the Warriors, Ezeli posted career averages of 4.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
