Fans of the Portland Trail Blazers may have something to look forward to in the next couple of weeks: the return of center Jusuf Nurkic. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, the Bosnia Beast intends to return within a couple of a weeks.
The Portland Trail Blazers have been without their starting center for two months due to a right wrist fracture, but Nurkic intends to make his return in approximately two weeks, sources informed Yahoo Sports.
Head coach Terry Stotts told media members that Nurkic and CJ McCollum (foot) are waiting to be cleared by doctors.
Nurkic broke his wrist in a game against the Indiana Pacers on January 14th. Shortly thereafter, CJ McCollum broke his foot in a matchup with the Atlanta Hawks. Zach Collins is still out due to foot surgery, and Harry Giles has had ongoing issues with a calf strain, leaving the Trail Blazers short-handed for the first half of the season. But brighter days may be ahead, as McCollum and Nurkic wait for medical clearance to return to play.
