Leonard Fined $50,000, Suspended One Week for Slur

The Miami Heat reserve has been disciplined by the league for using an anti-Semitic term in a Twitch feed.

Miami Heat F/C Meyers Leonard has been fined $50,000 and given a one-week suspension from all team activities after making an anti-Semitic slur on a Twitch feed last Monday. The disciplinary process follows an investigation by the NBA, of which the Heat were a part. Leonard will also be required to participate in cultural diversity training.

Shams Charania of The Athletic tweeted the news yesterday.

Heat's Meyers Leonard has been fined $50,000 and suspended from all Heat facilities and team activities for one week for an anti-Semitic comment he made Monday.
