Blazers Podcast Solves the NBA’s Three-Point Dilemma

Too many threes, not enough All-Star votes for Damian Lillard in the latest episode of Dave and Dia.

NBA: Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Trail Blazers are on a three-game losing streak, but you wouldn’t know it from the latest episode of Dave and Dia, the super most favorite podcast of at least TWO of our Blazer’s Edge staffers! Sure, Dave Deckard and Dia Miller talk about the tough losses and some of the reasons behind them. But they also debate whether three-point shooting is becoming too prevalent in the NBA and share Dave’s absolutely unique, you-probably-haven’t-heard-this-before adjustment to diversify offense. They discuss Damian Lillard’s never-ending All-Star snubs, Dia’s dietary peculiarities, the decline of Subway and Taco Bell, Blazers forwards making good, and a whole host of other topics previously only available in the courts of the high monarchs of Europe!

P.S. For the purists and detail-oriented among you, in the podcast I said All-Star voting was 50% fans, 25% players, and 25% coaches. It was near midnight when we recorded and I was tired. What I meant was 25% players and 25% MEDIA. It doesn’t otherwise affect the conversation. I just used the wrong word. —Dave
