Portland Trail Blazers fans have another date to look forward to: March 2nd, the day when CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic are supposed to be evaluated after their respective injuries, according to Jason Quick of the Athletic. McCollum broke his foot during a match-up against the Atlanta Hawks in mid-January, while Jusuf Nurkic broke his wrist in the game prior to that versus the Indiana Pacers. Asked about Nurkic’s rehabilitation, Coach Terry Stotts was optimistic.

“He’s not doing much,” coach Terry Stotts said. “Whatever you’ve seen him do on social media is about all that he is doing. The rehab is going well, they are pleased with the way the foot is healing, but there is really not much more to it than that. I mean, he’s not running, stationary shooting. He needs to let it run its course.”

Damian Lillard is looking forward to having McCollum and Nurkic back in the lineup.

“You always see moments where they can help the team and impact the game,” Lillard said. “It hasn’t been just the last two games. Even when we were winning, those weren’t running-away wins. Those were down-to-the-wire wins, so even in those games, it was like, man, it would have been good to have those guys out there.”
