Damian Lillard, the Portland Trail Blazers’ star point guard, has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week. He earnes the honor alongside Eastern Conference Player of the Week, James Harden. The news comes after a run of excellent play by Lillard, leading the Trail Blazers to a six-game winning streak before it was snapped by the Washington Wizards.

Due to his hot play despite the signficant absences of both CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic from the starting line-up, Lillard has also continued to be a part of the MVP conversation. Currently, Lillard is averaging 30 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds a game, and he is ranked no. 3 on the Kia MVP Ladder.
Lillard was previously named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the week of January 18th. That nod tied him with Clyde Drexler for the franchise record with ten over his career. Now Lillard holds the record alone.
