Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is set to take part in the three-point competition at next month’s All-Star Game showcase in Atlanta. On Wednesday, Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Chris Haynes delivered the news regarding Lillard’s involvement in the competition.

Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard will participate in the 3-Point Contest in Atlanta on March 7, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

The 3-Point Contest and Skills Challenge will take place prior to the All-Star Game on the same day and the Slam Dunk Contest will be performed at halftime, sources say. The Trail Blazers’ franchise player is sure to be named an All-Star for the sixth time.

Like Haynes mentioned, this years All-Star Game event will feature all forms of the competition in a single day—instead of a weekend-long showcase.

This season, Lillard is attempting 10.6 three-pointers per game. In terms of efficiency, the former Weber State star is connecting on 38 percent of his shots from beyond the arc.
