The NBA G-League kicks its season off today, and fans of the Portland Trail Blazers may recognize some familiar faces.

Wenyen Gabriel (Wisconsin Herd), Harry Giles III (Agua Caliente Clippers), Jaylen Hoard (Oklahoma City Blue) and Nik Stauskas (Grand Rapids Gold) all find themselves on G-League rosters at the beginning of its season.

Gabriel was traded to the Blazers in 2020 and started two games during the playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Orlando bubble.

Giles played 38 games for the team last season, averaging 2.8 points per game.

Hoard played in 13 games with the Blazers in 2019-20 and was also part of the team in the Orlando bubble.

Stauskas spent part of the 2018-19 season in Portland before being dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Rodney Hood.

During the season, two-way players Trendon Watford and Keljin Blevins will also likely be assigned to the NBA G-League. Because the Blazers do not have a G-League affiliate, where these players go is a mystery at this moment.
