A lot has been said about the Portland Trail Blazers’ offseason additions with some pundits unconvinced about the team’s championship aspirations.
ESPN’s Zach Lowe chimed on his Lowe Post podcast, apropos of nothing, to suggest the Blazers could be better than people think — as long as the roster stays healthy and the young players shine.
I think even Portland is one of the higher variance teams in the league to me too. I love their top six, their depth is a little bit of a question mark. I think Simons is ready for a bigger role, Nassir Little might be ready for a bigger role. we’ll see what Snell and McLemore and those guys can give them. Cody Zeller is actually an OK back up five, they might be better than people think too.
They’re also one injury away from having their depth exposed a little, but if they get off to a good start, the west is just weird this year with Jamal Murray already hurt and Kawhi Leonard already hurt. I don’t know what’s going to happen here but I’m buckling up here.
