Damian Lillard, a five-time All-Star, has established himself as one of the NBA’s premier players. That billing was clear inside HoopsHype contributor Frank Urbina’s recent rankings of each age group in the NBA. In terms of the best 30-year-old players, Lillard earned the top spot on the list.

Urbina’s year-by-year list cited Lillard’s style and scoring acumen when he reached the section that covered players at age 30.

Arguably the NBA’s best point guard over the past few campaigns, Damian Lillard’s bombastic style from beyond the arc and explosive scoring abilities make him one of the toughest players to defend in the Association.

Even despite a somewhat slow start to this season for the high-scoring Lillard, at least by his standards, the Weber State product is still averaging 26.1 points and 6.4 assists nightly while knocking down over 90 percent of his 6.8 nightly free throws in 2020-21.

Lillard earned the top spot over a handful of other noteworthy 30 year olds. Paul George, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green populated the list of names that the former Weber State star beat out on the list.
