It appears that the NBA is set to investigate videos that show Nets guard Kyrie Irving breaking COVID-19 protocol at a large gathering last week. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Malika Andrews delivered the news regarding the potential for an investigation into Irving’s actions on Tuesday.

Wojnarowski followed up that information with another message that framed Irving’s current absence from the Nets’ rotation.

Irving has missed four consecutive games for personal reasons, been ruled out tonight vs. Denver and sources expect him to continue to be sidelined at least through Wednesday (Knicks) and Saturday (Orlando) games.

Irving has appeared in seven games so far this season. Kevin Durant, Irving’s high-profile running mate in Brooklyn, returned to action on Sunday after a three-game absence that was triggered by the NBA’s COVID-19 protocol.

The Nets are scheduled to return to action today when the Denver Nuggets visit Brooklyn. Through 11 games, the Nets have amassed a 5-6 record.
