The Heat lost Game 1 to the Los Angeles Lakers 116-98. Dragic scored 6 points on 3-8 shooting in just 15 minutes of play before the injury. He is averaging 20.9 points per game as Miami’s leading scorer in the 2020 playoffs. He averaged 16.2 points on 44.1% shooting, 36.7% from the three-point arc over 59 appearances during the 2019-20 regular season.
Many pundits consider Dragic as the Heat’s third most important player, behind Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, who also excelled in the NBA bubble this summer.
The Heat and Lakers will play Game 2 of the series on Friday. We’ll await word on how they’ll proceed with Dragic’s foot.
