Open Thread: Lakers-Heat Finals Game 1

Game 1 of the Finals tips off at 6 p.m. PT on ABC.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat will face off tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. LA easily dispatched the Denver Nuggets in just five games during the Western Conference Finals. Miami, meanwhile, faced a tough opponent in the Boston Celtics, but they advanced after a win in Game 6.

Tip-off: 6 p.m. PT

Watch: ABC

The new usual rules apply:

  1. No swearing.
  2. No pictures/videos
  3. No discussions of streaming besides all the legit ones.
  4. Be cool to not only each other, but also somewhat respectful toward the people on TV. It’s totally appropriate to vent frustration, of course.
  5. Occasional complaints about bad calls are totally fine. Constant, repeated complaints about the refs (including in ALL CAPS) are not.
