All eyes are on Giannis Antetokounmpo after the Milwaukee Bucks suffered an early exit from the NBA Playoffs. Trade rumors have swirled around the two-time MVP, but he’s denied any interest in bolting for another team. NBA legend Vince Carter discussed Giannis’ future on ESPN’s Get Up, saying that he thinks the Greek Freak’s loyalty will be “like a Damian Lillard”:

“I honestly don’t foresee Giannis leaving. I think it’s encouraging hearing what he’s hearing from the organization. I look at him like a Damian Lillard, who feels like he can win a championship there [and] he’s good enough to where guys want to come play with him.”
Lillard has been famously dedicated to the Portland Trail Blazers, both through his words off the court and through his decisions to re-sign with the team at every opportunity.
Antetokounmpo is currently scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2020-21 season, but he’s expected to receive a supermax extension offer from the Bucks this offseason.
