Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will not return to Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers after suffering a left ankle injury. Embiid played just six minutes before landing awkwardly after contesting a Wenyen Gabriel attempt at the rim.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski delivered the news on Embiid’s status and exit just before halftime.

Prior to leaving the floor, Embiid notched two points and four rebounds. The Sixers are already without Ben Simmons, who left the bubble after suffering a knee injury earlier this week.
