Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons is leaving the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida to undergo surgery for a loose body floating in his left knee. Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the news today.

The guard was diagnosed with a knee cap issue two days ago.

Simmons has averaged 16.4 points, 8.0 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Sixers this season, along with a league-leading 2.1 steals.
The Portland Trail Blazers face the 76ers on Sunday afternoon.
