The Blazers big man started feeling pain in his left hip during Thursday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.
Portland’s head coach Terry Stotts gave an update on Whiteside following Friday’s practice:
“He started noticing it at the beginning of the game last night. I talked to him today, he really didn’t notice before the game but… early in his minutes last night it started bothering him.”
Whiteside has averaged 5.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 15.8 minutes per game for the Blazers since they resumed play in the Orlando bubble.
