Damian Lillard injured his finger on Thursday night in Game 2 of the Portland Trail Blazers’ 2020 NBA Playoffs series with the Los Angeles Lakers. Though the injury appeared to be relatively minor, Lillard’s status for Game 3 was unclear.
Head Coach Terry Stotts, among the more cautious of the Blazers in his public statements on the matter, has told reporters that Lillard is receiving treatment for the injury to his left index finger, but will play in Game 3, though he may wear a splint.
“He’s been getting multiple treatment throughout the day. I believe he’ll wear a splint... He’ll play.”
