The Trail Blazers amassed a 6-2 recored in bubble play to leap past the Grizzlies in the Western Conference’s postseason standings. With Portland on the precipice of earning a first-round matchup against the Lakers, NBA legend Clyde Drexler paid respect to his former team’s chances in the playoffs.
In an interview with Sam Mitchell and Brian Geltzeiler on the SiriusXM NBA show, Drexler explained that the Blazers are a totally different team with Jusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins healthy. He went on to explain that Portland is at its best when Damian Lillard is setting the table for the big fellas, but he capped his interview by explaining that the Blazers should not be overlooked.
“They are capable of beating any team in the West. They’re a dangerous team.”
Here is a one-minute clip of Drexler’s interview on the SiriusXM NBA show.
