Sacramento Kings General Manager Vlade Divac has stepped down from his position after five years as the lead executive for the organization. Joe Dumars will take the role on an interim basis as the Kings search for Divac’s replacement. Sam Amick tweeted the news earlier today.

Divac’s tenure has been beset by issues, including poor draft picks (passing on Luca Doncic in favor of Marvin Bagley in 2018 being a prime example) and repeated failure to make the playoffs. The Kings finished the year with a 31-41 record, their 14th straight season below .500.

In other news, the Chicago Bulls fired Head Coach Jim Boylen today. Former Trail Blazers Ime Udoka and David Vanterpool are reportedly on the short list of candidates for the now-open position.
