Recap: Blazers Beat Nets, Qualify for Play-In Games

Portland has captured the eighth seed and will face Memphis for this weekend’s play-in games.

The Portland Trail Blazers faced a win-or-go-home matchup with the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, but they ultimately prevailed by a score of 134-133. The win earned them the eighth seed and an advantage in this weekend’s play-in games against the Memphis Grizzlies. Damian Lillard’s 42 points and fourth-quarter heroics led the way.

  • Have a happy summer, Phoenix. The Suns went 8-0 in the bubble but have been eliminated from playoff contention with Portland’s win.

Play-In Game No. 1 between the Blazers and Grizzlies will tip off at 11:30 a.m. PT on Saturday and air on ABC. If Portland earns the win, they will advance to the first round for a matchup with the Lakers.
