The excitement over the Jusuf Nurkic’s return to the Trail Blazers lineup has started to spill over to the broader media landscape. On a recent episode of The Mismatch Podcast, The Ringer’s Chris Vernon and Kevin O’Connor paid respect to the stellar play of Damian Lillard and Nurkic.

Here is the four-minute clip of Vernon and O’Connor detailing how the Blazers’ Lillard-Nurkic duo makes Portland a threat during the NBA’s restart.

In the 2018-19 season, the Blazers amassed a solid 46-27 record before Nurkic suffered a gruesome injury in a matchup against the Nets on March 25. Prior to his departure that season, the Bosnian big fella was producing 15.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
